My Background
There were many side paths off my long trail to massage therapy, and I am so thankful that those experiences led me here. After receiving my BA and MA in psychology from UVM, I shifted gears and worked as a ski patroller and in other positions in the ski industry. I knew that I wanted a career where I could help people, but I hadn't found the right way yet. When I decided to become a massage therapist, I finally found the passion I had always been looking for in a career! I graduated from the Balance Massage Therapy School here in Waterbury in December 2024. Now, I get to help people, be active at work, and have amazing work/life balance, all the same elements I hope for my clients lives. There is an emphasis on productivity at all costs at work these days that usually requires people to sacrifice a piece of themselves. I am here to help people reclaim their needs so they can be their true selves.
My Approach
Life is like getting first tracks on a ski trail- endless possibilities!
There is power in touch, not only through proper application of techniques, but also because we are living beings who innately want those around us to be happy and safe. When a neuron in our body is excited, it is called an "action potential". This is an electrical current that has the potential to do anything, whether it's setting off a chain reaction throughout the body, doing nothing at all, or anything in between. When the energy from both of our bodies meet, we too have unlimited potential. It creates a give and take, and through working collaboratively we have the potential to achieve all our goals.
